Dolphin Swimming in Tamarin Bay, Mauritius. A group of wild dolphins have chosen Tamarin bay as their natural habitat. They can often be seen in the morning and in the late afternoons. Dolphin Watching can be done either on our deluxe Catamarans, Madiana 1 or Madiana 2 or on our 18 Footer Explorer Speedboat, which enables a closer approach to the dolphins. In the capital city of Mauritius, horse races were held since 1812 on the sole race-track commonly called the Champs de Mars. At the beginning of the tense 19th century, when the English colonists overwhelmed French in Mauritius and invaded the island, an English colonel wanted to calm the storms between French and English, the latter suggested a horse-racing meeting in Port-Louis between the two sides. Those race-meetings played a vital role in the history of the island, brought peace and became one of the most famous sports in Mauritius.

The races are still held every Saturday from March to December at the Champs de Mars where you will have the opportunity to discover this unique event in Mauritius which gathers about 20,000 people each week. You will spend an amazing afternoon in one of the eldest racecourse worldwide.
