The Safari- Tissa has 47 air-conditioned deluxe rooms, spread across three blocks (A, B and C).1 There are 20 rooms in A Block, with a Lake view (of the Tissa Wewa), with six rooms on the ground floor, with direct access to the garden. There are 27 rooms in B and C Blocks, with a Lake and Pool view, and 13 rooms in C Block with a balcony.
Room facilities include: twin or king size beds, in-room safe, mini-bar, mini-fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, two 500ml. drinking water bottles (replaced daily), flat-screen TV (with satellite TV), internet (Wi-Fi), dimming lights, en-suite bathroom, with a ‘rain shower’, and bathroom amenities.

The Safari- Tissa has three spacious suites: one on each floor in Block B. All Suites have Lake, Garden and Pool views, additional living space and en-suite dining. The ground floor Suite has direct garden access.

Each and every species of water bird found in Sri Lanka is believed to visit Bundala National Park . Nearly 200 species of birds have been recorded within the park, out of which 58 species are migratory birds.During September and March, hoards of migrants arrive in Bundala; among them are Marsh and Curlew Sandpiper, Curlew and Greenshank Golden and Kentish Plover, Large and Lesser Sandplovers. While the Broad-billed Sandpipper and Red-necked Phalarope are the rare visitors, the most famous migratory bird is greater flamingo. Hoards of flamingoes are one of the most common sights. In this period over 10,000 shore birds might be feeding at any one day.
