The resort offers 35 spacious Suites and Studios, situated either on the beachfront overlooking the lagoon, or amongst our tropical gardens and beside either of our two swimming pools. A variety of room types allow you to to select that perfect accommodation that suits your needs, whether it be singles, couples, adult families or groups.

Sunset Resort boasts one of the most idyllic, beachfront locations in Rarotonga. With only 35 suites and rooms, Sunset Resort offers a variety of room types to suit singles, couples, groups or families (note: no children under the age 12). Our Suites and Studios are situated either absolute beachfront overlooking the tropical waters of the Lagoon, or amongst our lush tropical gardens, beside one of our two swimming pools.

Each Beachfront Studio has a king bed (twin singles available), plus a refrigerator/ freezer, microwave and 2 burner cook top. A comfortable sitting area inside opens onto a covered verandah with a comfy sun lounger and deck chair. Relax on your own private patio and enjoy breathtaking views of the beach and the sparkling blue lagoon.

This self-contained apartment-style Suite boasts an absolute beachfront location. The 2-Bedroom Beachfront Suite has two completely private bedrooms, each with a king bed (twin singles available), plus a kitchen containing a refrigerator/ freezer, microwave and 2 burner cook top. The Anchorage Restaurant is the ideal place to sit back and dine in a spacious, open-air dining room. Surrounded by our lush tropical gardens, the gentle breezes cool you. Our restaurant can accommodate group bookings of up to 60 people. We also cater for Weddings, Birthdays and special events.
Recreation
Sunset Resort offers a variety of facilities and services. All you need to do is ask, and we will organise it for you. The Resort boasts two swimming pools, and the warm tropical waters of our crystal clear lagoon on our doorstep.
Our experienced, friendly, local staff can provide detailed information, and can help provide rental cars or scooters, sightseeing, tours, activities, adventures, and outer island excursions.
Wedding
Experience the natural beauty of our tropical island, celebrating with your family and friends, making your special day unforgettable. Sunset Resort has on offer three Wedding Reception areas for your special day. Whether you would like a casual gathering embracing the island style or a touch of elegance and sophistication to your special occasion. We can arrange any style of different setups and even custom decorations for your tables (or you can bring your own!).
Following the ceremony, our beachfront pergola is the perfect location for you and your guests to enjoy a glass of bubbly, some canapés or fruit platters of your choice.
