With so many species of fish available in our waters, it’s no surprise we are a choice destination for anglers worldwide. Salmon fishing in Port Hardy is one of the most popular local activities.
Port Hardy offers great opportunities to see resident and migrating whales and we know the best whale watching tour operators in the area.
Hiking trails are abundant on northern Vancouver Island. We are a launching point for many west coast adventures such as San Joseph Bay, Grant Bay, Cape Palmerston and Raft Cove as well as the North Coast Trail. The Ronning Gardens, Huson Caves and Nakwakto rapids are also nearby. Storey’s Beach is also a popular spot due to the World War 2 airplane ruins nearby.
Our resort is located on a estuary that’s sheltered and perfect for kayaking. There are several companies nearby that rent kayaks.
