Dining
A celebration of how you desire to dine. The delightful staff make sure you eat exactly when and where you fancy; dine at the lounge, pool pavilion, your own room or the dining area. The service at River House is always well-presented, discreet and friendly.
The River House provides a varied menu to choose from; Sri Lankan cuisine, some flavourful Indian and Thai-inspired dishes. Lunches are typically light – fantastic Oriental and Western salads, sandwiches and pastas are offered on a snack menu.
The dinner menu consists of vibrant starters and beautifully-presented mains that feature a lot of fresh seafood. A wide selection of wines is available as are spirits, soft drinks and juices.
Recreation
Dipping into the pool, even your suite will seem a world away. Engulfed by cashew nut and Nuga trees, it's all hush-hush here. Sundown cocktails can include some entertainment though.
The Madhu Ganga with its stunning waterways is an ideal for bird watching. An early morning boat ride can take you to visit the temple or watch fishermen begin their day. For the more adventure driven, kayaking is a wonderful way to feel closer to nature.
At The River House guests can enjoy yoga sessions conducted by our instructor, explore the seven acre garden with a bird-watching book or you can enjoy in-room massage; our in-suite massages bring soothing treatments to you.
Spend the day on the lovely beach at Bentota, where you can engage in a wide rage of watersports from jet skiing, to windsurfing, wakeboarding and canoeing.
