Dining

The clean, modern lines of the reception, restaurant and bar accentuate the contrast with the traditional houses.

The Monolith & Bar

The restaurant is striking with its contemporary and pure lines. This light and airy space offers a magnificent view of the traditional Khmer houses of Sala Lodges.

The chef and his team lovingly cook ingredients which subtly combine eastern and western flavours. Each day at dawn, a cook goes to the local markets in search of the best produce. Seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants from our garden are also to be found in dishes.

Refined palates will be tempted by Tonlé Sap fish fillet and its avocado purée with a wild rice mango salad, Asian Gazpacho, Peking duck with honey, citrus fruits and spices, and for dessert, a passion fruit crème brûlée. Throughout the day, a variety of delicious tapas keeps hunger at bay.

To complement the food, guests can enjoy making their selection from the international wine list.

At the bar, cocktail enthusiasts are able to choose between traditional or reworked concoctions, with alcohol or as mocktails. Throughout the day those searching for an energy boost can enjoy a little espresso standing at the counter or can opt for a fresh juice packed with vitamins.

Dining for Residents & Open-air Lounge

Residents enjoy dining in convivial surroundings. Special evenings with a barbecue or a surprise created by our chef can be organised. Occasionally, artists and experts on South-East Asia conduct the show or share their wealth of knowledge and passion with guests.

This covered space situated at the heart of Sala Lodges is equally conducive to impromptu moments, friendly meetings or reunions.

Linked to the dining room by a wooden bridge, the alfresco lounge is the ideal place to enjoy a drink at the end of the day. A stone’s throw from the swimming pool and facing direct west, the lounge encourages relaxation. Shaded by parasols throughout the day, this area will delight those who wish to read or daydream, cocooned in comfy armchairs, with the occasional glance or two at the Khmer countryside and the beautiful trees that surround Sala Lodges.

Dinner on the Terrace

An ideal space for lounging, your lodge’s terrace can become the perfect setting for an unforgettable romantic dinner.

A honeymoon, a wish to celebrate a special anniversary or simply a desire to enjoy a unique meal for two…

Do not hesitate to reserve your private dinner on your terrace. Gentle, calm ambiance is guaranteed.

During this special meal, you will benefit from a personalised, attentive service.
